The perfect day for horse lovers short on time, we travel by air-conditioned minibus to Living Legends — home to some favourite retired champion racehorses. You’ll get to meet, pat, and feed some of the most iconic equine names in horse racing, such as Apache Cat, Brew, Almandin, Efficient, Silent Witness, Santa Ana Lane, Tom Melbourne, Johnny Get Angry, Behemoth, Prince of Penzance, and many more.
While here, relax in the beautiful homestead of Woodlands Historic Park with a delicious Devonshire tea and take some time to explore the on-site museum before travelling back to your cruise ship or hotel.
Living Legends is part of Woodlands Park and is modelled closely on the Home of Rest for Horses in the United Kingdom. Like the Home of Rest, they aim to support equine research, education, and training to benefit horses of all ages and breeds. Special emphasis, however, is given to the care of older horses.
Note: Horses at Living Legends are occasionally sent out to ‘work’ on modelling jobs or media shoots, therefore we cannot always guarantee the horse you most want to meet will be ‘home’.
