REVIEWS

Picked up on time at designated point ...First stop Flemington Racecourse. Here we started at the 32 hundred meter mark for the Melbourne Cup the biggest event in Australia’s sporting calendar. Walked the saddling ring met and talked to gardeners doing the preparations for the big day and the magestic beauty of the racecourse. Next stop the MCG or as Anthony put it Melbournians like to save on letters and simply call it the “G”. Saw the magnificent Sporting Precinct and walked on the hallowed turf, through the stands, change rooms, the Long Room, dining rooms, galleries and Bob Menzies famous “Urinal Window” all with the aid of our guide Jim who’s knowledge and enthusiasm was 1st class. This was followed with an adrenaline filled lap of the Grand Prix track at Albert Park with Anthony at the wheel we reached a hair raising 40kph. Throw in the iconic landmarks, places of interest, Fitzroy Gardens etc. Tour finished with lunch at the Channel 7 Cafe at Docklands Stadium. Absolutely brilliant experience… would do it all again in a heartbeat. One tour not to be missed in Melbourne

I thought I would drop you a note to say a huge Thank you to Tamara. She was incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable and made our tour a great experience. On more than one occasion she went above and beyond. We went home feeling very happy.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Sports Tour. Tamara was fantastic - the proverbial “breath of fresh air”. She was very courteous, extremely knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs/wants of her clientele. The tour was well constructed, very informative & quite exciting.

It was a little disappointing that the Rod Laver Arena was closed for new construction, but full marks to Tamara for efforts in showing the out grounds.

The inclusion of the Stomping Ground Brewery as an alternative was a highlight. Their tour was informative and the craft beer selection was superb.

The lunch provided was tremendous, heaps of very tasty food - and, the staff were exceptional.

We thoroughly endorse the tour as an exciting value for money experience. Well done!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can you pick me up from my hotel?
We pick up from most hotels in the city centre as long as we are able to stop out the front. If there is a no standing zone in front of the hotel we will pick you up further down the road or around the corner. Just let us know where you’re staying and we’ll let you know where the closest pick-up point is.

I’m coming on a cruise. Can you pick me up from the dock?
We can pick you up from the dock. Be aware that sometimes it may take some time between the ship berthing and you disembarking. If your ship’s scheduled arrival is within an hour of our pick-up time we recommend you book a private tour so we are able to wait for you. If you book a public tour we need to take the other guests into account and may have to leave before you can reach us.

I am a vegetarian/lactose intolerant/celiac/have allergies. Is there a lunch option suitable for me?
We are able to accommodate most food restrictions and intolerances with prior notice.

How much walking is involved?
There is a fair amount of walking on our sports tours, but it is broken up into small amounts. If stairs are an issue, please let us know in advance so we can ensure your MCG tour has access to elevators.

Can I skip some parts of the tour that I’m not interested in?
We would be happy to arrange a private tour for you with just your areas of interest. Just send us an email or give us a call and let us know what you are looking for.
