Explore behind the scenes of the venues that host Australia’s favourite sporting events during our Melbourne Sports Lovers Bus Tours! You’ll get to see some of the most iconic locations you recognise on TV without the crowds.
Drive past all the venues of Melbourne’s world-class Sports and Entertainment Precinct, take a trip around Albert Park on the Melbourne F1 Grand Prix Circuit, and view Flemington Racecourse, home of “the race that stops the nation” — the Melbourne Cup. See Marvel Stadium and the Docklands precinct, learn more about Australian Rules Football, and choose from a range of add-on options. Top it all off with a pub-style lunch and a drink!
You can choose from half-day, 3/4-day, and full-day tours, with options to tour either the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne Park (home of the Australian Open), the Australian Sports Museum, or a brewery.
Check out our video for a preview of what you can expect on this Melbourne Sports Tour:
Melbourne Sports Lovers Tours operate Monday to Friday and on select dates around events and holidays. Tours depart from Federation Square at 8:30 am and selected hotels in Melbourne City Centre and Southbank by arrangement.
Note: All venues are subject to availability. Australian Open Tours are not available from mid-December through to mid-February.

We pick up from most hotels in the city centre as long as we are able to stop out the front. If there is a no standing zone in front of the hotel we will pick you up further down the road or around the corner. Just let us know where you’re staying and we’ll let you know where the closest pick-up point is.
We can pick you up from the dock. Be aware that sometimes it may take some time between the ship berthing and you disembarking. If your ship’s scheduled arrival is within an hour of our pick-up time we recommend you book a private tour so we are able to wait for you. If you book a public tour we need to take the other guests into account and may have to leave before you can reach us.
We are able to accommodate most food restrictions and intolerances with prior notice.
There is a fair amount of walking on our sports tours, but it is broken up into small amounts. If stairs are an issue, please let us know in advance so we can ensure your MCG tour has access to elevators.
We would be happy to arrange a private tour for you with just your areas of interest. Just send us an email or give us a call and let us know what you are looking for.
